Kevin Scholz, CEO

Kevin Scholz co-founded DVMConnexx in 2005, after devoting 15 years to veterinary computing within software and technology businesses.  Kevin’s varied professional responsibilities – from building, training, and leading customer support teams to overseeing organizational operations – uniquely qualify him to lead the experts at DVMConnexx.

At Advanced Veterinary Systems (AVS), Kevin managed the customer support, computer hardware, and training teams – roles he continued after IDEXX acquired both AVS and PSI.  Kevin chose to work as a consultant for IDEXX after 2001. In this capacity, he led the IDEXX launch of Cornerstone practice management software in Australia.

Kevin’s tireless contributions at VetInsite from 2003 to 2008 – filling the roles of COO, VP of client and partner relations, VP of sales and consulting, and practice management software company liaison – were instrumental in growing the business from a fledgling provider of Pet Portals with 8 clients to a thriving brand with over 1,000 subscriptions that was acquired by MediMedia in 2007 and renamed Vetstreet™. 

Kevin, who holds a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, is a technology and business process manager who is passionate about working with veterinary practices because he admires and respects veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and other team members who devote their careers to providing quality patient care. 

While Kevin’s busy travel schedule does not facilitate having a pet, he hopes to adopt a lab-shepherd mix someday ...similar to his childhood dog Maggie.
